I am Ong Hooi Lie .I like traveling and gardening. So here I would like to introduce you some interesting places in Malaysia. There are also some photographs to share with you.
Many people seem a little vague as to where Malaysia is situated.
Let me tell you!
Malaysia comprises of East and West Malaysia and is situated in South-East- Asia. east Malaysia is made up of Sabah and Sarawak which are separated from Peninsular Malaysia by the South China Sea. We are to the north of the Equator enjoy an equatorial climate which is namely hot and wet throughout the year.
However, we are blessed with very green forests and there is a variety of trees and foliage. we have the infrastructure, like roads and railways and are expending fast. Our economic growth is good at about 8% for the past few years.
We are unique in some ways. we are a multi-racial, multi-cultural society. The indigenous people are the Malays in Peninsular Malaysia and the Dayaks, Kadazans and Ibans in East Malaysia. The official religions is Islam although there are people who practice other religions like Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism. We live in peace and harmony.
Our official language is the Malay language, although the other races do study their mother language. we have two-session schools as there are not enough schools for the fast growing population. we have universities for tertiary education but most times the elite like to further their studies overseas.
we have many tourist spots like Langkawi Island, Pulau Tioman and many more . they have recreational facilities like scuba diving, snorkelling and other sports. these are great areas to rest and relax. we have good hotels too, to provide with all your needs.
